Next Friday, our friends and CAN coalition members

Next Friday, our friends and CAN coalition members at @kyccla are partnering with Clinica Romero to bring COVID-19 testing at the LAPD Olympic Station. The event will be on Friday, September 25 from 8 AM-4 PM, appointment only (registration required).

It is open to anyone, whether they are insured, uninsured, or undocumented, and do not have to experience symptoms to be eligible for testing.

What can one expect at MODELS of PRIDE?
•
#modelsofpride begins with an opening session that brings everyone together to celebrate the annual theme - FIERCE, FABULOUS, FREE and recognize community leaders. This is followed by three separate breakout sessions with more than 30 workshops relevant to LGBTQ youth and allies, covering topics that include - but not limited to - arts, fashion, social justice, health, being an ally, religion, people of color, coming out, gender and self-empowerment.

This year’s virtual conference will include interactive maps where participants can explore resources available in their area, colleges affirming to LGBTQ youth, and employment opportunities across the country.
•
Saturday will conclude with a closing session and Sunday will end the conference with an entertainment hour featuring a variety of performances!

Now in its 28th year, Models of Pride will be held virtually on Saturday, November 14 and Sunday November 15.
