Constellate: Stars shine brighter together

Research shows when youth are connected to others, they are less likely to misuse drugs or alcohol.

Youth in a Gender & Sexuality Alliance club, that continued to meet during COVID, were less likely to have 30-day substance use.

Youth who participated in a GSA or similar group were less likely to use marijuana in their lifetime.

Youth who spent time at an LGBTQ center in the past 6 months were less likely to use marijuana in their lifetime.

CAN Coalition works to educate and reduce substance misuse among LGBTQ youth. This video series brought together 12 diverse individuals to discuss their perceptions and relationships to alcohol. The campaign ultimately asks youth to think about their own decisions when faced with alcohol.
