Leadership Institute
CAN’s leadership institute is designed specifically for GSA and LGBTQ clubs. Students are able to come together and participate in a day-long workshop that provides them with invaluable skills and information focused on leadership, community building, and much more.
This is a great opportunity for any student in a GSA or LGBTQ school-based program who is interested in learning more about:
- Being an active member and role model in the community
- Learning how to make their school and community more LGBTQ inclusive
- Knowing their rights as LGBTQ students in high school
- Developing leadership skills
- Understanding identity
- Team building
- Substance prevention
- Meeting new people
- Advisors are very much welcome
CAN Leadership Institute closing ceremony 2020
Last year, the CAN Leadership Institute included more than 100 students from 10 different schools. For the day we provide transportation; light breakfast snacks and lunch; and an awesome experience to learn new information and meet new people!
Participating schools are typically those we have worked with over the past year. There is an opportunity, however, for schools to submit applications to join this amazing day. Apply to join us using the form below:
